Introduction to resin infusion processes
The purpose of this training is to provide an overview of the processes manufacturing long-fiber composites by infusion and the equipment and materials required.
The course is designed to meet the needs of technical manufacturing personnel, including those working for SMBs and SMIs using composites by open mold processes and wishing to change their production methods in order to meet new environmental standards.
The course lasts 2 days (14 hours) and includes 6 hours of practical work.
This is an introductory course. The course will enable learners to gain knowledge of the infusion implementation processes and the parameters affecting the process in order to be able to manufacture composite parts.
The first part addresses the different variants of the infusion process, the different tools and environmental products as well as the process control parameters.
A second part will involve implementing the infusion process by producing an actual part and an examination of different process parameters.
Course level : Basic
Target audience: Production technicians or engineers who are familiar with composite materials and wish to develop their practice of producing composite parts.
