Pyrotechnic Safety Part 2

Regulations - Pyrotechnic work safety study

OBJECTIVE :

The second part of this course is intended for technicians and engineers with a good knowledge of pyrotechnic risks. It aims to enable them to effectively enforce the regulation of risk management. In particular, it involves developing and writing Pyrotechnic Work Safety Studies.

COURSE DURATION AND TIMETABLE :

The course lasts 5 days (35 hours) and includes:

  • 23 hours of lessons (including films and panel discussion)
  • 12 hours of case studies.

GENERAL APPROACH :

This course is for technicians and engineers responsible for regulatory studies. They must have a good knowledge of explosive materials and knowledge of various safety issues and the methods to solve them. For this reason, it is mandatory to complete the first part of this training (DET 005) beforehand.

This course aims to present all the regulations applicable to pyrotechnic establishments (Labor Code, Defense Code, Environment Code, CLP European Regulation, etc.).

It explores the methods of developing Pyrotechnic Work Safety Studies; in terms of content, those methods used to ensure the most effective control of the risks; in terms of form, the methods to ensure the studies are completed in accordance with regulations. This enables the same to be done for Hazard Studies for pyrotechnic establishments.

This includes the rules and recommendations of the Pyrotechnics Good Practice Guide.

PREREQUISITE :

Course level: Advanced

Highly experienced tech degree-level technicians and engineers working in manufacturing establishments or those using pyrotechnic and explosive substances.

Prior completion of the below course is required:
