Aeroacoustics in transportation

OBJECTIVE :

This training has two objectives :

  • To improve knowledge about the aerodynamic noise
  • To learn computational fluid dynamics approaches and measurement methods

COURSE DURATION AND TIMETABLE :

The duration is 4.5 days (27 hours) with:

  • 4 half-days courses
  • 5 half-days about application cases 
  • 1 tunnel technical visit

GENERAL APPROACH :

This specialist training focuses on the noise generation due to the air flow and its propagation. The main existing methods in computational fluid dynamics are presented. Dedicated measurement in wind tunnel and in open-air are described.

PREREQUISITE :

Level : Advanced course
Basic knowledge in acoustics and aeroacoustics is needed.
