Alternatives to satellite navigation
GNSS geolocation and navigation methods
This course is for learners who wish to gain an overview of geolocation and navigation technologies and processes that are alternative to satellite navigation. It presents an overview of ABL geolocation technologies based on beacon networks, collaborative geolocation within a MANET radio communication network or even AFL geolocation technologies with no beacons such as the various solutions for dead reckoning navigation. The training also highlights the need for process resilience and safety for critical applications.
The course lasts 2 days (14 hours) and includes a half-day of practical work.
The training aims to provide general information about the processes, systems and technologies of geolocation and navigation that are an alternative to satellite navigation, while exploring the fundamental principles, the theoretical tools and industrial applications through concrete examples.
