Explosives and pyrotechnics - 2020

Warheads

OBJECTIVE :

This training will enable learners to become more familiar with the various categories of warheads and their targets.

  • Piercing heads and shields
  • Splinter loads
  • Blast loads

COURSE DURATION AND TIMETABLE :

The course lasts 5 days (32 hours) and includes:

  • 30 hours of lectures, illustrated with examples and applications
  • A welcoming session and a panel discussion (2 hours)

GENERAL APPROACH :

This course supplements the knowledge acquired during course DET 001 "Detonation of explosive systems" with applications to conventional warheads and an extensive overview of the various categories of loads and protections.

Course DET 004 "Explosives", DET 005 "Pyrotechnic Safety, Part 1" and DET 007 "Applied Pyrotechnics" are useful additions

PREREQUISITE :

Course level: Advanced

Suitable for design and development engineers and armed forces personnel who have completed course DET 001 or who have equivalent knowledge.
