Infrared imaging

Characteristic and conceptual elements of an optronic chain

OBJECTIVE :

This course provides engineers involved in night vision, active and passive applications, with an overview of design and implementation issues: system sizing, modeling, key technical parameters, latest developments of components, and modules of the optronic chain and image processing.

COURSE DURATION AND TIMETABLE :

The course lasts 5 days (30 hours) and includes:

  • lectures including presentations
  • with examples and applications
  • 1 factory visit

GENERAL APPROACH :

The course is aimed at non-specialists and is designed to provide basic information for sizing passive and active infrared imagers, selecting the components and modules that make up this equipment, and the associated signal and image processing techniques.

PREREQUISITE :

Course level: Advanced

The course is for engineers or people with a good basic general education and who understand the topics covered in course ELA 015 "Optronics".
