OBJECTIVE :

This course is intended for engineers and technicians with no specific specialization who design, specify, create or operate electrical power systems or who wish to explore the new possibilities.

COURSE DURATION AND TIMETABLE :

The course lasts 5 days (35 hours).

GENERAL APPROACH :

The miniaturization and progressive integration of electric power technologies enable the important development of their applications:

  • "more electric" embedded systems
  • electric and hybrid propulsions
  • production and energy savings

Electrical machines (NdFeB magnets), power electronics (Mos, Igbt, en Si, SiC, GaN), energy storage (Ni-MH, Li-Ion) sensors, digital controls and actuators, enable:

  • density of torque, power and energy
  • energy interconnection networks between mechanical and electrical systems, etc.
  • dynamic and precision, reliability and maintainability.

Electromagnetism characteristics are also explored in this course, without complex mathematics.

The technologies explored will be illustrated during the course with many innovations and tutorials (bring a calculator).
