ARF-023
Informatic networks and systems - 2023

On-board IT systems

OBJECTIVE :

This course will enable learners to discover the principles and techniques used in the design of on-board computing systems to better understand their integration into the complex systems that we know as modern aircraft.

COURSE DURATION AND TIMETABLE :

The course lasts 5 days (32 hours) and includes:

  • 15 hours of lectures
  • 15 hours of case studies
  • 2 hours of panel discussion

GENERAL APPROACH :

The principles and methods presented, as well as their applications to the aerospace, terrestrial, civil or military fields are at the crossroads of several disciplines, which this course will explore further.

Case studies focus on specific recent and future examples of on-board computer systems.

Speakers will present different modules from institutions or companies at the forefront of the field: teachers, researchers, equipment manufacturers, systems manufacturers, aircraft manufacturers, etc.

PREREQUISITE :

Course level: Basic/Advanced

This course is particularly intended for engineers working in the field of on-board equipment and/or computer science.

It requires a basic knowledge of computer science, the organization and operation of computers and the production and implementation of software.

COURSE DIRECTOR(S) :

Frédéric BONIOL:

ONERA Research Master, and former professor at the University of Toulouse
