Modelling and distributed simulation (HLA) of complex systems
The course enables learners:
- To understand the fundamentals of modeling complex systems
- To master new simulation techniques for system design (technical-operational simulations, distributed and cooperative design)
- To acquire the object-oriented methodologies for modeling a system for its simulation
- To learn more about new distributed simulation techniques by exploring the HLA (High Level Architecture) standard
The course lasts 4 days (26 hours) and includes:
- 22 hours of lectures
- 4 hours of demonstration
- 1 panel discussion
This course should enable learners to understand the principles of simulation and familiarize them with the issues of distributed simulation for the cooperative design of complex systems.
Most of the course focuses on discrete event simulation and the interoperability standards of distributed simulations, including HLA (High Level Architecture).
The course is especially for project managers, designers, method and quality engineers, and architects of simulation infrastructures.
Course level : Advanced
Access to the course requires good general knowledge in computer science. Knowledge of object languages or distributed systems is desirable but not essential.
